Palm Sunday Sacred Concert

The sacred concert of Stainer's 'The Crucifixion' was held on Palm Sunday evening. A congregation of well over 200 attended. The All Saints Choir was augmented with choristers from Deanery Choirs: St. Paul's Sketty, St. Hillary's Killay, St. Peter's Newton, and singers from Holy Cross, West Cross. Soloists were Joshua Mills, tenor and Adam Gilbert, baritone ( both students at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama). All Saints' chorister Reuben Nicholas sang the 'Voice in the crowd.'  A collection was taken for the victims of the earthquakes in Haiti and Chile. Canon George Bennett, Area Dean, welcomed everyone. Penny Ryan OBE conducted the augmented choir and Leslie Ryan played the organ. Over £400 was raised for the Haiti and Chilean earthquake appeals, which is in addition to the Sunday School's £300 and a collection from an ecumenical service with Mumbles Methodists which raised over £1,000
