The Sunday School meets in the Lower Church Room on Sundays (11.15am-12.30pm), except for the first Sunday in the month, when the children take part in the Family Service. There are 26 children (aged 3-11years) on the register and they are divided into 5 classes according to age. All children (3yrs+) are welcome. Sunday School helps the children learn about the Christian faith and to develop as young members of the Church. We try to provide enjoyable activities and create a family atmosphere for them to grow in.

Each month we work to a different theme and our presentation at the Family Service usually reflects this. Materials from Scripture Union are used occasionally and we also use colouring sheets, word searches, puzzles etc, but we tend to do a lot of practical work e.g. art and craft, cookery etc. We also run a workshop on Good Friday.

Part of the Sunday School sessions and particularly on the last Sunday in the month, are used to prepare for the Family Service. The children take part in this service by giving presentations, leading the prayers or singing songs

Family Service

At Christmas time, the Sunday School presents a nativity play at the Christingle Service - this is usually a modern twist on the traditional story

As a Christmas treat our Sunday School families usually go to the pantomine at Penyrheol and in the summer we have a trip to Folley Farm.
