We are extremely grateful to receive a major donation from the former Mumbles Old People's Welfare Association for the sum of £9,224. It's a very welcome boost to our funds.
The Association was founded many decades ago to provide help and fellowship for the elderly in the community. Its members used to meet in the Dunn's Hall, at the back of the former British Legion site. Unfortunately, with numbers declining in recent years, the Association decided to disband and to sell the hail to the developers of the adjoining site.
The Association also decided to give the proceeds of the sale to local charities. Mrs Miri Clement nominated her share to be given to All Saints'.
Thank you, Miri, for thinking of us. The donation is a great boost and we hope to put it towards the £30,000 appeal for repairs and improvements to the Church organ.
